Who the dickens is Drew Halfpenny?

Well, I have always been a writer, mainly for personal enjoyment, but now I am sharing my speculative fiction tales with you, the imaginative, enquiring reader. The Connickle Conundrum and The Brunswick Brawler, first two books in The ABC Chronicles trilogy, were published under my own imprint, Gunmetal and Gilt Publishing in the September 2022 and July 2024 respectively. The explosive conclusion to the trilogy will be published in the second quarter of 2026.

My wife, Sharon, and I are empty-nesters living in Manchester, England and now that our twin sons have left home to make their way in the world, I have grasped the opportunity to fulfil a long held ambition to share my stories set in my reimagined Victorian north of England.

As well as writing, I am an avid consumer of all genres of science fiction and classic hard-boiled detective stories, collect American comics with covers by the best comic-book artist in the business and I have a quirky taste in music (European symphonic and progressive metal anyone?).
